Buzzfeed and Bloomberg confirmed as latest speakers at The Festival of Media Global 2013

Top media execs to join major brand speakers including, Coca-Cola, Subway Restaurants, BlackBerry and, exploring the agenda theme ‘From Content to Commerce’

28.03.13: Organiser of The Festival of Media, C Squared, today reveals the conference agenda and speaker programme for The Festival of Media Global 2013, which will take place from 28th- 30th April 2013 in Montreux, Switzerland.

Following its launch in the UK this month and announcement of plans to launch its own  ‘Native Advertising’ ad network, BuzzFeed President and COO Jon Steinberg is the latest keynote speaker to join this year’s Festival of Media Global line up. Steinberg joins media owner heavyweights Andy Lack, CEO of Bloomberg Media Group and Viacom International Media Networks President and CEO Bob Bakish who will also be delivering keynotes across the two day event.

In a Festival first, Founder of The Festival of Media Charlie Crowe will lead an exclusive fireside chat with Havas Group Managing Director and Vice President Yannick Bolloré and Havas Media CEO Dominique Delport.

This year’s Festival agenda includes the highest number of brand speakers to date, boasting more CMOs and CEOs than ever before. Heavyweight speakers include SABMiller Global CMO Nick Fell, Subway Restaurants Global CMO Tony Pace and Unilever SVP Global Media Luis Di Como, who will all share the brand perspective on  connecting with consumers in an increasingly diverse and challenging media landscape.

Reflecting the importance of content in fuelling retail transactions, International Director Frans Falize will predict ‘Your 2023 Shopping Basket’ and what the online shopping experience will look like in 10 years’ time.

Executive Editor of LinkedIn, Daniel Roth, will argue that ‘Content isn’t King. Conversation is King’ and explain why the site is making a bold push into content and seeking to transform business news.

Rocket Fuel, GlaxoSmithKline and DG MediaMind will debate the future of the media planner, navigating a media landscape in which algorithms are increasingly responsible for planning and buying media.

Intel and Acer will delve into their use of digital technologies to drive content stories, in ‘Dynamic Content & Conversations’. While in ‘The New Publishing Revolution: Closing the Gap’, Say Media Co-founder and CEO Matt Sanchez will explore the latest advertising strategies changing the publishing game through hyper-individual consumer experiences.

In ‘Money Matters’, Visa CMO for Core Products, Kevin Burke, will discuss how the company is transforming the way consumers transact and interact with brands, products and people in a new ecosystem of omnicommerce.

Speakers will be addressing an audience made up of the most high profile figures and senior level decision makers from across the worlds of advertising, media and marketing – 76% of which are Director/CEO level.

The event will come to a close at the Gala Awards dinner, during which The Festival of Media Global Award winners and Media Accelerator Programme (MAP) winner will be announced. This year, Ben Jankowski, Group Head of Global Media at MasterCard Worldwide is chairing the final judging panel of The Festival of Media Global Awards, assessing entries from 50 countries worldwide and rewarding media excellence and innovation.
