Organisers win ‘Best CEO Level Conference’ Category

Festival of Media organisers C Squared are celebrating today after being awarded ‘Best CEO Level Conference’ at the Conference Awards.

The awards ceremony saw C Squared beat the likes of Alphabet Media, BBCG and UMB conferences to win the prize, awarded for their work on the Festival of Media Global 2011.

The Conference Awards, attended by over 550 conference professionals from over 160 companies, were created to recognise and reward excellence within the conference and events industry. Decided by a 20 strong judging panel representing senior marketers with established conference and events expertise, the award reflects the on-going success of the Festival of Media brand, which holds bespoke annual events in Montreux, Miami and Singapore.

Next up is the Festival of Media LatAm, which is taking place from 23rd-25th September at the Fontainebleau, Miami Beach. Now in its 3rd year, the event combines inspirational speakers, thought provoking content and two days of invaluable networking opportunities.

Caroline Carr, Marketing Director at C Squared, comments: “We are thrilled that the Festival of Media Global 2011 has been recognised as the Best CEO Level conference – it is testament to the level of audience we attract to the event and its positioning within the industry. We are extremely proud to be recognised as the winner against some other well established international events.”

Charlie Crowe, Chief Executive of C Squared and founder of the Festival of Media, adds: “This reward reflects the team’s incredible achievement in building such a successful event over the last 6 years. The Festival of Media Global 2012 line-up included global CEOs from every major agency, alongside brand representatives such as Salman Amin, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at PepsiCo and Nigel Burton, chief marketing officer at Colgate-Palmolive. The Festival attracts the highest possible calibre of delegates and speakers and each year really is bigger and better than the last.”

About The Conference Awards

The Conference Awards are the only such event for the commercial conference and events industry. Winning an award brings unparalleled recognition for the teams and individuals behind these outstanding achievements.

The idea for the Conference Awards was first conceived in 2009 by Claire Wormsley and Rory Ross Russell, ex-board members of Incisive Media and Informa UK respectively. The success of the Conference Awards would not have been possible without the support of the distinguished panel of judges as well as the financial support of the sponsors.
