Charlie founded C Squared in 2005, originally as a consultancy working for clients including Adidas, The Economist and Initiative Media. After Charlie launched Cream – a global compendium of creative ideas in media – C Squared grew rapidly into the diversified publishing, technology and events company that it is today. In 2007, he created The Festival of Media and in 2009 Charlie successfully completed the acquisition of the global marketing trade title, M&M (the magazine he once edited), from Apax/Emap. Charlie started his career as a researcher for The Rt. Hon Tony Benn MP before becoming a financial journalist. Charlie has a degree in Politics, Philosophy & Economics (PPE) from Oxford University and outside of work he plays the drums and collects old media (namely, printed books).
